Common Questions
- How do I view an ad listing?
- Easy.
When browsing or searching ads, you simply click on the ad title to bring up the entire listing.
- How can I search keyword phrases?
- Easy.
Simply click on the search button located at the top of the page. In the keyword box you need to add quotes before and after the phrase. Do not put a space after the first quote or before the last quote.
Here is an example: "test search" - How do I delete my ad?
- Easy.
Simply go to the activation email you received and click on the edit link. On the top of the edit window you will see a link thats says delete ad. Simply click on the link.
- How do I edit my ad once it has been posted?
- Yes this is possible.
Simply go to the activation email you received and click on the edit link.
- How do I contact seller?
- Easy.
All ads have at least a phone number or email address listed in the ad. If there is no form of contact in the ad listing, then please Flag the ad so it can be removed.
- How many Free ads can I Post?
- it depends
You can post as many ads as you wish as long as it is different ads. You cannot post the same ad in multiple states without purchasing a featured ad or the ads will be removed.
- How do I select a city?
- Easy.
Simply select a category and you will see a row of cities located towards the top of the page. Simply click on a city you would like to see ads in. Also the only cities that will show in the list are cities which contain ads.
- How do I Flag an ad?
- Simple.
Simply highlight the flag ad link which is just above and to the right of the ad listing. After putting your mouse cursor on the link a box will popup containing different choices, simply choose the appropriate option. This is very useful for removing ads that are not appropriate. Keep in mind it will take more then just one person to remove an ad. An ad will be removed once it has received a reasonable number of flags.
- I can't find the FLAG AD button
- a couple of things can cause this
If the ad is a paid featured listing, then the FLAG AD button is removed and the featured ad can not be flagged. The FLAG AD button is located to the top right of an ad listing next to the SEND TO A FRIEND button and PRINT AD button. Also if you have already FLAGGED an ad, the button is removed after you have reported it on a per ad basis. This is setup this way so you can not repeatedly FLAG the same ad over and over again. All ads can only be FLAGGED by one person per household. This means in order for the ad to be FLAGGED a second time, it would have to be done at another location.
- I tried to activate my ad, however i received this message: "This post ad was previously activated"
- Yes, this ad has been activated
Sometimes if a ad has not been activated for a couple of days, one of our system administrators may automatically activate the ad for you. If this is the case, simply click on the second link in your activation email to confirm your ad listing is live in our system.
- I accidently deleted my activation email, what can I do?
- No Problem.
Simply go to our home page and scroll down to the footer section. You will see a link that says recover ad details. Click on the link, put the same email address that you used when you posted your ad and the system will send you a new email.

- I have posted several classified ads in your system and would like to get a list of everything I have posted, Is this possible?
- Sure.
Simply go to our home page and scroll down to the footer section. You will see a link that says recover ad details. Click on the link, put the same email address that you used when you posted your ad(s) and the system will send you a email containing everything you have posted. The email will also show title of each ad, when ad expires and allow you to edit any ad in the list as well.

- My city is not listed in the post form, what can I do?
- You have a couple of options.
Simply choose a city that is nearest to your location or you can use the contact form and suggest a city and we will be more then happy to add it.
- How many days will my Free ad run?
- 20 days.
Your ad will run a full 20 days unless it has been flagged or deleted.
- I did not receive my activation email
- Many things can cause this.
First check your junk or spam folders. Also add freevideoshopper.com to your safe senders list.
- Are the ads listed by date?
- Yes.
All of the ads are listed from new to old. The new ads always show first.
Featured Ads
- Can I post a featured ad to every state and city?
- Yes. You only need to post one ad and it will show in all states and cities.
Simply choose the appropriate drop down selection under the featured ad options in the post ad form. You simply post one ad and the same ad will show up under all states and cities in posted category and subcategory.
- Can I post a featured ad to one state including all cities for that state?
- Yes. You only need to post one ad and it will show in the selected state, including the cities.

- Can a featured ad be flagged?
- NO.
Featured ads cannot be flagged.
- Do I need a paypal account to pay for a Featured ad?
- NO!
You do not need a paypal account to purchase a featured ad. Find the text that says don't have a paypal account and click the continue button (this is located on the left side of the log in box). Now you can enter your credit or debit card information and continue the purchase. Even if you have a paypal account and do not wish to use it you can click on the continue link and continue purchase using a credit or debit card.
- Does a featured ad require email activation?
- No.
However you are still sent an activation email since it contains your ad details including editing and deleting your ad.
- What if I already posted my ad and would like to make it featured?
- Yes this is possible.
Simply go to the activation email you received and click on the edit link. On the top of the edit window you will see a link thats says make ad featured. Simply click on the link and choose the appropriate option.
- I paid for a 90 day featured ad and my item sold in a few days. Can I replace the current ad with something else to use up the rest of the time I have left?
- Yes! but don't delete your current ad, simply edit it.
Simply go to the activation email you received and click on the edit link. You can now change the ad to whatever you wish. You can change the category, subcategory, title, ad description, price, state and city.
- Do you have an example of Featured Ads?
- Yes!
Other Classified Sites
- If I delete my ad, is it also deleted on the other classified sites?
- Yes.
However it generally takes anywhere from 12 to 24 hours for the removal process.
- How long does it take for my ad to show on other classified sites?
- 12-24 hours.
It will take approx. 12 to 24 hours.
- What are some of the other classified sites?
- Too many to list.
AOL, Walmart, Listpic and many more.
Post Ad Form
- How do I post html tags?
- Simply click on the html button in the editor and paste your html codes.
For example, you go to a site that provides templates such as postlets.com. After you fill out the template they will generally provide you with html codes. You would then click on the html button in the editor and paste the provided codes.
- What are the seller contact options?
- There are 3 options
Option 1: Public details + Contact form = Your name, email address, phone number and website url will be displayed on the site and the users will also be given the option to contact you via our contact form.
Option 2: Only contact form = No contact information will be shown on the site other then website url if provided and the users will be given the option to contact you via our contact form.
Option 3: No contact options = No contact information will show except website url and no contact form will be provided to the user. You will need to include some other form of contact information in your ad description if you choose this option, such as a phone number.
